Promotional Model for Faith Diva Jewelry

       I LOVE helping with non-profit organizations and helping support events and fundraisers for worthy causes.  It's one of my life's passions and the theme for my reign as Mrs. Texas United America 2014.  The aspect that makes it even more special is that passion for making a positive difference is did not begin when I won the crown of Mrs. Texas UA and will surely not end when I crown my successor.  Giving back is something that is a part of my lifestyle...its who I am.
       One of the countless blessing for getting involved in my community is getting to meet amazing women like Tina Peters-King! She introduced me to her jewelry line that she HAND MAKES! I love to see such talented business women use their creativity and talents for positive things.  I was honored to shoot with her and Kendra Pipkin with Simply Beautiful! American Heart Association Go Red Luncheon

The American Heart Association Go Red Luncheon is at the Beautiful Omni Hotel in Dallas. We are already here setting up and it's going to be a great event!! I stopped in front of the Red dress symbol for a photo opp!
In 2003, the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the AHA and other organizations committed to women’s health joined together to raise awareness of women and heart disease. The NHLBI introduced the red dress as a national symbol for women and heart disease awareness and the AHA adopted this symbol to create synergy among all organizations committed to fighting this cause.
By working together to advance this important cause, the AHA, NHLBI and other women’s health groups will have a greater impact than any one group could have alone.

Royse City Chamber of Commerce-Go Red for Women Event

Thank you Rockwall Chamber of Commerce for having me at your Go Red party on February 5th! I got to see my fabulous friends Dorothy Spradlin, and Kaitlyn from Simply Kate and my new friends Kristy and Crystal!!
 Go Red for Women is such a great cause and  encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart healthy life.

American Royalties Miss Pageant

       On January 31, 2015, I got to join the panel of judges to judge at the American Royalties Pageant at the South Fork Hotel in Plano, Texas.  It was a great pageant and I had a wonderful time with the other judges.  There were so many beautiful contestants...its hard being a judge :-).

Women In Need Organization Fundraiser at Painting with a Twist-Rockwall, Texas

       Women in Need is such a great organization and does so much for the community and for the cause of Raising Awareness Against Domestic Violence and also helping victims of domestic violence.  I have also learned that W.I.N. also goes into high schools and teaches youth how to have healthy relationships and how to recognize and avoid unhealthy relationships. 
       This is cause that is very near and dear to my heart and I was thrilled to get to be a part of the fundraiser for W.I.N. at Painting with a Twist in Rockwall, Texas! Polar Dash 5k-Dallas Texas

Team Ortho Foundation is all about offering great races to encourage people to get out and get active. On January 24, 2015, I got involved with the Team Ortho Polar 5k in Dallas, Texas.  It was a little bit of a chilly morning but I had a great time getting involved and even had my picture taken with the Yetti!

Hotcake Hustle 5k to Benefit Operation Kindness

My friend and I, Amanda Van Sickle, Mrs. Kaufman County America 2015, will be running the 5k this weekend at the Hotcake Hustle! This is a fundraiser for Operation Kindness...its the original and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. They've been "Saving Lives – One Animal at a Time" for over almost 40 years. They care for approximately 300 animals on a day-to-day basis, with another 100 animals in foster homes. More than 3,000 dogs and cats are assisted by Operation Kindness each year. Want to help? You can adopt, foster, donate, or volunteer.
