Kayla has coached me on ALL aspects of pageantry and without her help and guidance, I would not have won my state competition! She does an amazing job with hair and makeup, pageant walk coaching, paperwork and ad preparation and even help me win an OVERALL HIGH SCORE INTERVIEW portion at my state competition. A prize that was worth $1000 at the Texas United America Pageant.  The best part of all...is she truly CARES about each one of her clients and the information she gives is CUSTOM to YOU...not from a book or from generic information she provides to everyone. The United America Pageant System has the sweetest Director!

The United America pageant system has such a sweet and thoughtful director! Miss Annette Rushing sends such thoughtful gifts "just because." Thank you Miss Annette!!  I have been in the pageant industry for so many years as a contestant, judge and even director.  I KNOW how hard each role is! There are soooo many different pageant organizations to choose from and I am honored to have participated in some of the largest organizations and some on the smallest.  Out of all of my experiences, I have treasured meeting genuine and caring people along the way. Miss Annette is truly one of the most caring and thoughtful directors.  I am glad to be a part of this system. If you would like more information on joining the United America Pageant family, go to:

Plano Haggard Library Event Featured in the Dallas Morning News

The Dallas Morning News, photographer: Stewart F. House, was kind enough to cover a story about the Princess Party at the Haggard Library in Plano, Texas.  I feel really blessed and honored to not only represent Texas in the United America system, but to also represent a pageant system that truly is about making a positive difference in the lives of those in our communities!

Plano Haggard Library Princess Party

I know I love the luxury that electronics and technology offer...BUT there is nothing like reading a book the old fashioned way. There is something about picking out a real book and holding it while I flip the pages....just not the same for some reason on my Kindle.  So, having said that, I LOVE sharing my love for reading, stories, and imagination with children.  That is why I was thrilled at the invitation to the Plano Haggard Library Princess Party I received from my friend Angelica Jasmine Bates, Miss Texas Teen Princess America 2014. There were so many little girls and boys who dressed up like Princes and Princess and were ready to hear Angelica's story.  The special thing about it is that Angelica performs the stories to the children in American Sign Language and even teaches them words and has them repeat it. It was a very fun thing to watch the kids in an interactive fun way to learn.  It was great exposure for the kids and  I really enjoyed meeting so many new people while promoting the Plano Haggard Library Programs.

McKinney Heard Museum-Holiday Trail of Lights

I really like to support and promote local programs that have great educational programs.  This holiday season, I got the pleasure of being a guest at the McKinney Heard Museum Holiday Trail of Lights.
If you have never been there, is beautiful, especially when the 289 acres is decorated in so many Christmas lights! Here is a little information:
The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, in McKinney Texas, is the result of Bessie Heard’s vision for the future and her commitment to the community and North Texas.
Founded in 1967, the Heard consists of a 289 acre wildlife sanctuary and a natural science museum for the primary purpose of educating children about nature. The Heard exists to bring nature and people together to discover, enjoy, experience, restore, and preserve our priceless environment.
The Heard’s purpose is threefold: education, conservation, and preservation. In keeping with Miss Heard’s vision, Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary emphasizes an appreciation of nature and its conservation through education.
The emphasis of the Heard’s education programs is children; however, the Heard also offers programs that will interest visitors of any age.

Rains County Historical Society-Live Nativity Scene

Christmas is my favorite time of year and a great time to reflect on what the season is all about and spend quality time with family and close friends.  I had an even bigger joy this year for having the honor of being Mary in the Rains County Historical Societies Live Nativity Scene this year.  Being involved in the community, giving back, and really reflecting on the reason for the season is such a beautiful way to rejuvenate and renew and one of my favorite things to do, especially over Christmas.
